Songs
Our repertoire comes from a wide variety of sources, including songs from around the world, traditional folk songs, early music, blues and musicals.
Songs we've recently enjoyed singing:
Reconciliation – an Irish lullaby, with lyrics by Ron Kavana: a song for our times.
Tagi Hina – remembers the people of Tokelau taken by South American slave traders in the 1900s
White Winter Hymnal – Robin Pecknold’s mesmerising pop song (with hand movements)
And two long-standing favourites:
This Great Sky – a glorious hymn to the Fenlands, written by Scottish songwriter Ali Burns
Salt In My Tears – ‘There ain’t no sweet man worth the salt in my tears’. Enough said. A Women of Note anthem.
Here's a short recording of us singing In Dangerous Times by Ali Burns in 2019.
